Dona Reiniche

Dona Georgina Reiniche, 92, of Bourbonnais, died Saturday (Jan. 17, 1998) at Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home in Bourbonnais.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today at the Kankakee Chapel of the Schreffler Funeral Homes with a wake service at 4 p.m.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee, by the Rev. Charles Wheeler.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kankakee.
Memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Kankakee, where she was a member or to the donor's choice.
She was born Nov. 26, 1905, in Pilot Twp., the daughter of George and Minnie Margaret Renville Plante.
Her husband, Raymond Victor Reiniche, whom she married May 10, 1930, in Crown Point, Ind., died in 1961.
Surviving are one sister, Zelma Bowers of Kankakee; four brothers, Vernon Plante of Herscher, Elwin and Eldon Plante, both of Manteno, and Orville Plante of Watseka; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, Leroy, Milton, and Len Plante; one sister, Antoinette Rabideau; and one son.
Mrs. Reiniche had been employed by the Bear Brand and also by Domestic Laundry.
She was a member of the Limestone Jolly Club, the Kankakee County Senior Citizens, and The St. Anne Sodality.

Cynthia Beattie

CUSTER PARK - Cynthia A. Beattie, 70, of Custer Park, died Sunday (Jan. 18, 1998) at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Joliet.
In compliance with her wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
A memoral service will be held at a later date.
Reeves Funeral Home, Wilmington, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Sept. 20, 1927 in Greenville, Texas.
Mrs. Beattie served in the U.S. Government Foreign Service for 10 years overseas. She also was a legal secretary in private practice.
Surviving are her husband, Maurice Beattie, whom she married May 25, 1958 in Hong Kong; one son and daughter-in-law, Andrew and Eleanor Lynn Beattie of Wilmington; two grandchildren; two sisters, Vicki Trone of Texarkana and Nicki Kinnick of Texas; one brother, Herbert A. Burnett of Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers and one sister.

Irwilda Doris

Irwilda ''Tubby'' Doris, 77, of Kankakee, died Sunday (Jan. 18, 1998) at her home.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be made to St. Rose of Lima Church, where she was a member, or to Hospice of Kankakee Valley.
She was born June 18, 1920 in Momence, the daughter of George and Rose Jarvis Prairie.
Surviving are her husband, Vernon Doris, whom she married Oct. 10, 1958 in Kankakee; one son, Michael Doris of Kankakee; two stepdaughters and stepsons-in-law, Paula and Bill Schultz and Patricia and Harvey Tapp, all of Bourbonnais; two sisters, Rachel McRedmond of Palo Alto, Calif., and Terri Alberts of Kankakee; one brother, Vince ''Lee'' Prairie of Momence; four stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers and one sister
Mrs. Doris was employed by Conrad's Bakery and Borders Dress Shop, both in Momence, and the Mall Tool Company in Chicago.
She enjoyed bowling, traveling and collected National Geographic magazines.

Arthur Gassler

CULLOM - Arthur G. Gassler, 65, of Lansing, formerly of Cullom, died Jan. 15, 1998 at his home, following an illness of three months.
Cremation rites were accorded. No services are planned.
He was born Aug. 14, 1932 in Rural Cullom, the son of Andrew J. and Irene A. Koerner Gassler.
He was a 1950 graduate of Cullom High School, where he participated in track.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Gassler was a 40-year trucker, first employed by National Cartage of Hammond and later by Bulk-O- Matic, retiring in September 1997. He was a member of Teamsters Locals 705 and 142.
He first married Lynn Vitale.
Surviving are his wife, Cherie Gassler, whom he married in October of 1976; two daughters, Beth Miller of Appleton, Wis., and Sherlyn Gassler of Green Bay, Wis.; four stepchildren; and one granddaughter; four brothers, Jack, Dick, Wendell and Merle Gassler, all of Cullom; four sisters, Ruth Heideman of Ashkum, Gloria Biagini of Washington, Phyllis Moritz of Kempton and Sharon McCoy of Fairbury.
Deceased are his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Margie Erdman

BRACEVILLE - Margie ''Marie'' Erdman, 54, of Braceville, died Saturday (Jan. 17, 1998) at her residence.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Von Qualen-Harris Funeral Home in Dwight, where services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Keith Anderson will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunny Slope Cemetery, Saunemin.
Memorials may be made to the Saunemin United Methodist Church.
She was born Oct. 6, 1943 in Pontiac, the daughter of James Collins and Marge Gilva Eggenberger Dick. She was educated in Saunemin and Turlock, Calif.
Surviving are her husband, Orval ''Butch'' Erdman, whom she married Oct. 6, 1992 in Joliet; two sons, Robert Wolf of Gardner, Richard Wolf of Morris; one daughter, Kara Mehrkens of Pontiac; three stepdaughters, Martha Matson and Christine Brooks of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Deneisha Erdman; three stepsons, Joe and Jeff Erdman of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Damon Erdman; four grandchildren; one brother, James Dick of Crowslanding, Calif.; three sisters, Colleen Jones of Turlock, Calif., Hollie Hutchins of Dallas City and Carolyn Davis of Dwight.

Theresa Roden

Visitation for Theresa E. Roden, 81, of Bradley, formerly of Burbank, Ill., will be from 11 a.m. Friday until the 1 p.m. services at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Manteno.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankake eValley.
Mrs. Roden died Friday (Jan. 16, 1998) at Riverside Medical Center emergency room.
She was born Dec. 14, 1916 in Chicago, the daughter of George and Elizabeth Stromer Shuber.
Her husband, George Roden, whom she married in 1954 in Chicago, died in Dec. of 1971.
Mrs. Roden was employed by Swift in Chicago until 1950.
Surviving are one brother and sister-in-law, George Shuber of Orland Park; and several nephews and one niece.
Deceased are two brothers, herman and Walter Shuber.
She was a former member of the Burbank Presbyterian Church.
She enjoyed crafts and was active in bazaars.

Frederick Walker

MOMENCE - Frederick C. Walker, 46, of Momence, died Sunday (Jan. 18, 1998) at his residence after a long illness.
There will be no visitation. Cremation rites were accorded.
He was born June 4, 1951 in Chicago, the son of Clifford and Ethel Voss Walker.
Surviving are his wife, the former Irene Buczynski, whom he married Jan. 8, 1977 in Hammond, Ind.; two daughters, Allison M. and Adrianne M. Walker of Momence; his father-in- law and mother-in-law, Marian and Sophie Buczynski of Momence; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Rose and Robert Schuler of Momence.
Mr. Walker was a pipe fitter at Hines Veterans Hospital in Chicago.
He served with the Army in Vietnam.

Paul Sterrenberg,

CULLOM - Visitation for Paul Louis Sterrenberg, 76, of Cullom, who lived part-time in Naples, Fla., will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Harris- Martin-Burke Funeral Home in Cullom, where services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Scott Olson will officiate.
Burial, with military graveside rites, will be in Chatsworth Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Skinner-Trost American Legion Post 122 in Cullom.
Mr. Sterrenberg died Friday (Jan. 16, 1998) in Naples.
He was born Feb. 6, 1921 in Charlotte Township, Livingston County, the son of William George and Auguste M. Rinhard Sterrenberg.
He was a 1939 graduate of Chatsworth High School.
Mr. Sterrenberg served with the U.S. Navy from 1942-45 during World War II. He was a member of the Skinner-Trost American Legion Post 122, Cullom; the Moose Lodge, Pontiac; and had been a longtime volunteer fireman with the Chatsworth Fire Department.
He was a lifelong farmer in the Charlotte-Chatsworth area and a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chatsworth.
Surviving are his wife, the former Lucille Fern Perkins, whom he married July 11, 1943 in Seattle, Wash.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Paula and Don Pitts of Fisher and Kae and Larry Graham of Naples, Fla.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Shari Sterrenberg and Louis and Barb Sterrenberg, all of Charlotte; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Betty Ringler of Strawn, Lois Swanson of Washburh and Eleanor Grueling of Carmel, Ind.
Deceased are his parents adn two brothers, William and Richard Sterrenberg.
Mr. Hendrickson

David Hendrickson

MANTENO - Visitation for David Max Hendrickson, 50, of Manteno, will be from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday and from noon until the 2 p.m. services Thursday at Brown Funeral Home, Manteno. The Rev. Tim Terpening will officiate.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
Mr. Hendrickson died Friday (Jan. 16, 1998) at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's.
He was born Nov. 25, 1947 in Lansing, the son of Bernard Lloyd and Anita Belle Pinkerton Hendrickson.
Surviving are his wife, the former Sarah Ann Jerauld, whom he married May 25, 1984 in Kankakee; four sons, David, Michael, Bernard Lloyd and Daniel Lee Hendrickson; one daughter, Shawn Marie Hendrickson; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Anita Steele, Barbara Fontaine and Patricia ''Trish'' and Charlie Cook; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Kathi Hendrickson and Dale and Vicky Hendrickson; and sisters-and brothers-in-laws, Susan and Bob Storm, Nancy and Darren Meyers, Patty West and mother-in-law, Nelda West; 22 nieces and nephews.
deceased are his parents and grandparents.
Mr. Hendrickson was a heavy equipment mechanic for Crane and Machinery Inc. of Bridgeview.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving from 1968-72 during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Manteno American Legion.
He was a past member of the River Valley MoPar Club and liked stock car racing as a fan, driver and mechanic. He also enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a member of American Veterans Motorcycle Riders Association.

Archie Goin

CISSNA PARK - Archie O. Goin, 81, a former Cissna Park and Rankin resident, died today (Jan. 19, 1998) at the Danville VA Medical Center.
Arrangements are pending at the Knapp Funeral Home in Cissna Park.

Susie Ponton

PEOTONE - Susie L. Ponton, 81, Peotone resident for 56 years, died Sunday (Jan. 18, 1998) at St. James Hospice Hospital, Chicago Heights.
Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday at Fedde-Helfrich Chapel, Peotone.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church of Peotone, where she was a member. The Rev. Michael Ginter will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery, Momence.
She was born June 7, 1916 in Momence, the daughter of Theodore and Mary Stadler Camus.
Surviving are three sons, LeRoy and Larry Ponton, both of Peotone and Elmer Ponton of Manteno; three daughters, Arlene Krabbe of Monee and Nancy Krabbe of Chicago Heights, and Mary McCulley of Tennessee; 21 grandchildren; 35 great- grandchildren; two sisters, Marie Prairie of Momence and Matilda Sheets of Chebanse.
Deceased are her husband, Armand Ponton; two brothers and one sister.
She was a member of the Council of Catholic Women.

She was born Jan. 16, 1952 in Chicago, the daughter of Melvin and Corrine Hedstrom MacKey. Her parents and two brothers, Ted and Kenny, are deceased.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary and Renee Mitchell of Manteno and Thomas Mitchell of Bradley; one daughter, Teresa Mason of Bradley; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Chris Shattuc of Arlington, Texas, Carla and Joseph Luszyk of Lansing, Sherry MacKey of Manteno and Sheila and Robert Thompson of Bedford, Texas; three brothers, Gary Minard of Florida, Jack Minard of Manteno and Mike Minard of North Port, Fla.; five grandchildren; stepfather, Erv Minard of Englewood, Fla.
