John Sereika Jr.

Visitation for John M. Sereika Jr., 47, of Milwaukee, Wis., formerly of Kankakee and Bourbonnais, will be from 9 a.m. Monday until 10:30 a.m. services at the Senesac Bourbonnais Funeral Home. Deacon Eucharist Marcotte will officiate.
Burial will be in Maternity Cemetery, Bourbonnais.
Memorials may be made to Maternity BVM Catholic Church, where he was a former member.
Mr. Sereika died suddenly, Tuesday (Jan. 21, 1997) in Milwaukee.
He was born Oct. 30, 1949 in Chicago, the son of John M. and Stephany D. Brost Sereika Sr.
Surviving is his mother, who resides in Bourbonnais. His father is deceased.
He was a 1967 graduate of Fenger High School in Chicago and a 1971 graduate of Illinois State University in Normal.
Mr. Sereika was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital when he lived in Kankakee.

Pauline Howery

Visitation for Pauline S. Howery, 76, of Pembroke, retired mental health worker from Shapiro Developmental Center, will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at Lax Mortuary in Kankakee.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Kankakee. The Rev. Alex T. Bond will officiate.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens, Kankakee.
Mrs. Howery died Wednesday (Jan. 22, 1997) at Momence Meadows Nursing Center, Momence.
She was born June 21, 1920 in Georgetown, Ga., the daughter of Joel and Ada Smith.
Surviving are eight sons and five daughters-in-law, Norman and Kathy Howery of Southfield, Mich., Frankie and Amelia Howery, Steven and Phillis Howery, Jeffery and Debra Howery and Bernon Howery, all of Kankakee, Warren Howery of Pembroke, Errol Howery of Houston, Texas, Kerry and Lisa Howery of Chattanooga, Tenn.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Brenda and Paul Lee of Kankakee, Betty Williams of Stone Mountain, Ga., and Trina and Tommy Hawkins of Houston; 39 grandchildren; 20 great- grandchildren; sisters, Rose White, Wardell Adams and Willie Mae Myles, all of Chicago; two brothers- in-law and two sisters-in-law, Milton Howery, Levy and Mary Howery and Lucille Howery, all of Chicago; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Ben Howery; two brothers, Houston and Howard Smith; two sisters, Mary Lewis and Geneva Chambliss; six grandchildren, Ladonja Walls, Latanya Hardy, Prima, Bernedetta, Joel and Justina Howery; a great-grandchild, Paris A. Lee; eight brothers-in-law; and six sisters-in-law.
A graduate of Apex Beauty College, she was a licensed beautician.
She retired in 1980 from Shapiro Developmental Center. Her employment with the Illinois Department of Mental Health began in 1964.

Dominic Viviani

Dominic Viviani, 88, of Kankakee, formerly of Gardner, died today (Jan. 24, 1997) at St. Mary's Hospital, Kankakee.
Arrangements are pending at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Homes Ltd., South Wilmington Chapel, with services tentatively set for Monday.
